Established back in 2011 as part of an FMP at university to now what has become a global and recognised brand inside the Carp Fishing industry. Meet the creative directors; Lou and Trist, read their story of how their passion for what they do has led to the success of the brand today...

It's a weird one isn't it, I am the person writing this (Louis) yet when addressing the brand it sounds like someone else is talking. Well... It's not, it's me! Louis. Thanks for taking the time to come here and have a read and to be honest i'd be well impressed if you're still here at this point (lol) I don't get as much time to write pieces like this these days as the brand has come a long way and although ironically I am still writing every day, it's usually emails, product descriptions, technical packs or just communicating with our various suppliers around the world.

Going back a bit, and as the robot in the first paragraph mentioned this has all been a journey fuelled by passion and it has taken a lot of graft, late nights, taking risks and being unique that has got us to where we are now.

As I am writing this and thinking back to where it all began it is actually a massive eye opener to what we have achieved so far, I mean it's really easy to let the time pass by, new seasons come and go quickly and when caught up within all that it is nice to reflect.

The brand was started around the time I was at Uni, I was studying Graphic media at the University of Essex and it was in my final year that we had our FMP. This is your final assignment (Final Major Project) that plays a major part in how you finish your degree, by this time as well you kind of have an idea of what you want to do after you finish your studies. I already knew that I wanted to spend this time working on the brand, and with it taking off nicely on social media, Facebook at the time, it was a perfect time to concentrate on something that I was really passionate about. By this point i'd have probably sold my first batch of fifty 'Shluurp' tees and had a few other designs available. In those early days I literally did everything myself, from the designs, the website, the order packing and even doing local deliveries and runs to the post office. It really did start of as a bedroom business so that final year at Uni that I had to work and develop the brand was key!
